Big Red Party Caboose
Hold your next party aboard a real caboose!
Reserve this standard-gauge wood caboose, located on the grounds of the Colorado Railroad Museum, for a “Train Theme” birthday party that your child and their friends will long remember. Inside there is room for 15-20 children, electric lighting and the caboose can be heated in the winter. There are also two picnic tables located in front of the caboose for extra seating.
The caboose rental includes:
Admission for 20 guests (children and adults) for the entire day! Come as early as you like and “Lose track of time...”
A large, gourmet, two layer round cake with your choice of train theme! Choose the flavor of the cake, the color of the frosting and the picture on top...
Ten helium balloons to decorate the caboose! Includes one large train themed Mylar balloon for the birthday person...
Prices:
Standard Red Caboose Party: $150.00
If you have more than 20 guests the standard museum rates apply to the additional guests. There is no cooking allowed (no grills, crock pots, hot plates, etc..); you are welcome to bring your own food. No alcohol is permitted on the museum grounds.
Steam-Up Special Red Caboose Party: $200.00
Throughout the year the museum hosts a number of special events including the Bunny Express, the Trick or Treat Train and the Santa Special. The red caboose is available for parties during special events (except during the Day Out With Thomas event) and includes unlimited train rides and access to all special event activities.

9:00am - 10:30am, 11:00am - 12:30pm, 1:00pm - 2:30pm, 3:00pm - 4:30pm
The red caboose is available everyday (except during the Day Out With Thomas event) at the times listed above. You can rent a second time block for an additional $100.00.
Train Rides
Saturdays on the top of the hour from 10:00am to 4:00pm
On Saturdays (weather permitting) the museum offers train rides on Galloping Goose No. 7 or on a historic piece of equipment pulled by our center cab diesel, Locomotive No. 4. Your guests will receive $1.00 off on each train ride if they mention the birthday party when purchasing tickets.
When you book a Birthday Caboose Party at the Colorado Railroad Museum you will receive a discount coupon for 50% 0ff 1 ride for your entire group on the Rio Golden Railroad at Heritage Square, Monday-Friday!
